International Scholars to Converge for "Effective Justice II" Seminar in Poznań
Leading legal experts from across Europe and beyond will gather virtually on September 19, 2025, for the "Effective Justice II" international seminar. The event, organized under the research project "Effective Justice II: Action – Consolidation of Teams," will delve into the pressing challenges of modernizing justice systems for the digital age, with a focus on human rights, electronic evidence, and international cooperation.
Hosted by Adam Mickiewicz University, the seminar will feature a series of panels bringing together scholars from institutions in Italy, Spain, Serbia, Poland, and South Korea, among others.
The agenda is structured to foster in-depth discussion on several key themes:

Panel I will provide a comparative perspective on modeling effective criminal justice in the digital era, featuring researchers from the Universities of Trento, Bologna, and Urbino.

Panel II & III will explore the European, international, and inter-American dimensions of effective justice and human rights. These sessions will be led by Prof. Elena C. Diaz Galan of Rey Juan Carlos University and Prof. Harold Bertot Triana of UNIE University, respectively.

Panel IV will focus on the practical challenges of "Effectiveness and Evidence," specifically examining electronic evidence and new tools for mutual judicial cooperation, under the leadership of Prof. Xulio Xose Ferreiro-Baamonde from the University of A Coruña.
A dedicated session will also present the project's new subsection on Legal Philosophy, highlighting the interdisciplinary approach of the initiative.
The conference is part of the research project "Effective Justice II: Action – Consolidation of Teams," carried out within the ID-UB 175/02/UAM/0027 grant, funded by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Poland.
