About the Blog
On October 29, 2025, the GRANT AGREEMENT (Project 101233195-RDH) was signed between the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA), under the powers delegated by the European Commission, and the Universidad Internacional de la Empresa in Madrid. The project title is “Rule of law, democracy and human rights as elements of cohesion and survival of the European Union: areas of action and improvement” and it has a duration of 36 months. The main objective of the Module is to provide detailed and up-to-date information on the rule of law, democracy and human rights as elements of cohesion and survival of the European Union, as well as to identify areas for action and improvement. The module plans to conduct training courses and seminars on these topics, aimed at a broad audience, primarily within the university community.
The module complements the activities that members have carried out over the past years in disseminating the values and principles of the European Union, and in specific areas of human rights and democracy. Through the planned activities, the module complements the work of public and private university institutions on programmes related to European integration: the Universidad Internacional de la Empresa (Spain); the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Adam Mickiewicz in Poznań (Poland); the Institute of Criminological and Sociological Research (Serbia); the Institute of Comparative Law (Serbia); the Institute for the State and the Law of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (Bulgaria); the Institute of International Politics and Economics (IIPE), Belgrade (Serbia); the Faculty of Legal and Political Sciences of the Rey Juan Carlos University; International Balkan University (North Macedonia); the South-West University “Neofit Rilski”, Blagoevgrad, (Bulgaria); Catholic Portuguese University (Portugal); The Faculty of Law of Belgrade (Serbia); the University of Bihać (Bosnia and Herzegovina) and Sarajevo School of Science and Technology (SSST) (Bosnia and Herzegovina).
The module also complements the work and research of the research platform “Effective Justice. International and Comparative Approaches” of the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Adam Mickiewicz in Poznań. The project Effective Justice International and Comparative Approaches aims to tackle the issues described above, identifying critical points and problems in a comparative perspective in order to find the way to improve the effectiveness of judicial systems and their collaboration, especially within the EU. Part of the members of the Module are part of this project. (https://www.effective-justice.com/).
There is still a lot of work to be done, but we are enthusiastic and eager to do it. Stay tuned.
